El reconocido actor de San Sebastián de los Reyes, Pepe Viyuela, ha tomado la decisión de dejar la obra de teatro ‘Jardiel enamorado’, en la que interpreta al escritor Enrique Jardiel Poncela bajo la dirección de Ramón Paso. Esta determinación surge después de que la Fiscalía Provincial de Madrid haya presentado una denuncia contra el director por presuntos delitos sexuales que habría cometido contra varias mujeres entre 2018 y 2023.
En declaraciones a la agencia Europa Press, Viyuela expresó su sorpresa y conmoción ante la situación: «Yo me he quedado de piedra. Estoy nervioso. No pienso en otra cosa. Estoy conmocionado». El actor de la localidad, quien hasta el momento protagonizaba la obra en el Teatro Infanta Isabel de Madrid, manifestó que no ha mantenido contacto con el dramaturgo: «No quiero llamarle. No quiero seguir con la función. Me voy».
Durante el ensayo, Viyuela señaló su comprensión hacia la presunción de inocencia, pero destacó la gravedad de la situación al tratarse de 14 presuntas víctimas. «Me pongo de parte de las presuntas víctimas», afirmó, añadiendo que se siente «incapaz de seguir haciendo esta función». El actor subrayó la necesidad de que Paso aclare la situación y expresó su confianza en el testimonio de las personas afectadas.
